Silinder ini boleh menjana tujahan dengan memindahkan gas ke rongga omboh silinder, dan menghantar tujahan ke bahagian mekanikal lain melalui rod omboh silinder. Ia digunakan secara meluas dalam barisan pengeluaran automatik, pembuatan jentera, peralatan pembungkusan, peralatan percetakan dan bidang lain.
Silinder siri CQ2 mempunyai kestabilan dan kebolehulangan yang baik, dan boleh mencapai kawalan kedudukan yang tepat dan tindak balas tindakan pantas. Mereka boleh mencapai kelajuan dan daya yang berbeza dengan melaraskan tekanan dan aliran dalam silinder.
